Mark your calendars! Here’s what we know is happening in the next several months:
Monthly Messen: April (yes!) & May (no!)
While winter’s long grey is behind us and sunshine abounds most days, that’s not reason enough not to play board games indoors with friends! We have just one monthly gathering for Monthly Messen & Potluck at Tom & Sarah’s in the next two months (read why below). Free to attend, but RSVP required.
April Monthly Messen & Potluck - Saturday, April 18, 10:30 am-6 pm RSVP
May Monthly Messen - No gathering. Several Messen members are going to the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF). Share on Discord in #movies if you are going to SIFF!
Messen Community Board Game Yard Sale & BBQ potluck - Saturday, July 18
Bring your games to sell, your acquisition quest list, a tasty plate, and your appetite! Messen Community members will gather to buy and sell games, share in a potluck lunch, and perhaps play a game or two on Saturday, July 18, from 11 am - 3 pm.
Selling games? Bring a potluck dish and table/shelf/something to display your games on. Mark the games with the prices, name, and how people can pay (PayPal, Venmo, etc. [QR codes make it easy!]). Then hang out, enjoy lunch, and have fun with the Messen community. Bonus points if you bring a chair or two, if you can.
On a quest to acquire games? Bring a potluck dish, a chair or two if you can, and your list! Enjoy lunch and an afternoon of perusing the game sale tables while hanging out with your soon-to-be, new-to-you Messen friends.
Additional details will be shared in the Messen Community Discord (look for Live Events). Mark Saturday, July 18, from 11 am-3 pm on your calendar. Setup likely to start around 10am.
PS - (And your reward for reading this far) Several of the games from Spiel 2025 will be available for sale at the event!
